Interior Native Vote

Brand Refresh

Interior Native Vote is a non-partisan effort focused on empowering Alaska Natives and tribal members to actively participate in the voting process.

The existing visuals required refinement to build greater trust and community engagement, ensuring sensitive and authentic representation for this critical civic effort.

Our goal was to modernize and refine the brand’s visual identity to authentically reflect the unique cultural and physical landscape of Interior Alaska.

A new logo system and a custom library of line-art icons were developed to provide a distinct, localized visual language. The iconography was designed to build immediate recognition and simplify complex voting processes for community members.

The custom iconography features essential cultural motifs, including: kuspuks, parkas, mukluks, moccasins, drums, drying fish, feathers, moose, antlers, and various berries.

A refined color palette and a balanced typographic hierarchy were established. The system was designed to ensure the brand felt local, relevant, and contemporary while maximizing clarity and impact across all media.

The palette is inspired by the Interior Alaskan landscape, seasons and traditions, utilizing specific tones for balance and visual strength. A clear and accessible typeface system was chosen to ensure optimal legibility and approachability for critical civic and campaign materials.

Every design decision from the refined color palette to the familiar iconography, was intentionally made to foster stronger community connection and increase political participation through authentic and sensitive representation.
